A Walt Whitman

Gosto de poesia. O quieto olhar se enleva, absorto, preso naquela corrente poética que as palavras atraem. Tão longas paisagens.

Não escrevo poesia. Não tenho esse dom quase divino. Apenas leio poesia, e fruo sem pressas. Viajando pelos recônditos da sensibilidade.

A quietude da noite desperta, por vezes, em mim, fragmentos de prosa poética. Apenas. Não é o caso deste final de dia.

Hoje detive-me em Walt WhitmanWalt Whitman, o poeta, e pensador norte-americano, nascido a 31 Maio 1819. O poeta a quem se deve o verso livre.

Sentada, numa paisagem bem real, percorri alguns poemas de Whitman. Até que me detive aqui:

Are you the new person drawn toward me?

To begin with, take warning, I am surely far different from what you suppose;

Do you suppose you will find in me your ideal?

Do you think it so easy to have me become your lover?

Do you think the friendship of me would be unalloy’d satisfaction?
Do you think I am trusty and faithful?
Do you see no further than this façade, this smooth and tolerant manner of me?
Do you suppose yourself advancing on real ground toward a real heroic man?
Have you no thought, O dreamer, that it may be all maya, illusion?

Falo de sonhos. Eu sei. E de sonhadores. Não sou poeta, mas sonho. Da poesia me vem essa vontade de percorrer os caminhos da imagética transcendente. 

E amor não é sempre ilusão?

Fiquei calada. Em harmonia. Finitamente. Pura emoção.

Whitman seria a constelação do meu sorriso. Hoje.

O caminho menos percorrido

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,

Pensava, há pouco mais de uma semana, que mal tinha perspectivado o novo ano. Falta de tempo, acreditava. Depois, com o sabor dos bagos de romã na boca, reconheci que o ritual da passagem é algo especial, pelo menos naquele momento. 

Não há lacunas ocultadas. Feridas esparsas algumas, que sustentam o edifício com janelas por onde a luz, o ar, o ruído, continuam a entrar! E os afectos - oh! os afectos -  também, mesmo que a descrença se aloje, por vezes, num cansaço dos dias que seguem a passo.
Afinal nada muda obrigatoriamente. Apenas envelhecemos, e pouco mais há a registar. Mas, ainda assim, este ritual obriga-nos sempre a olhar para trás.
